Meet Our Regional Committee

Lenna Peterson,  President

Hey NFTY! My name is Lenna, and I could not be more thrilled to be your President this year! I am a rising senior at Bloomfield Hills High School, where I'm Editor-In-Chief of The Hawkeye newspaper, a forensics team captain, a stage manager for my school's theatre program, and the co-president of Because We Care Club. In my free time, I love to read, write, and travel, and I spend my summers at URJ GUCI. I absolutely love NFTY because it is an incredibly welcoming organization that allows everyone involved to learn, grow, and make friendships that will last a lifetime! I aspire to continue to work to build a region that fosters community and irreplaceable bonds.

Bailey is super excited to be NFTY-MI’s CVP this year! She’s a rising sophomore at Groves High School and belongs to Temple Shir Shalom in West Bloomfield. NFTY is an awesome community and she can’t wait to learn, grow and meet new people this year!

NFTY Michigan is governed by a committee of teen leaders who are appointed to serve a one-year term. Regional committee members play a critical role in all aspects of running the region including event planning and marketing. The regional committee is mentored by the NFTY Midwest Area Manager who oversees all programs and administration.
