Gabby Bates, Membership Chair

My name is Gabby Bates and I am so excited to be your Membership Chair for 2018-2019!! I am a Senior at Forest Hills Central High School in Grand Rapids, where I am on both the Varsity Sideline and Competition Cheer teams. I am also an active member of my High School DECA team, and a volunteer youth cheer coach for our 3rd and 4th graders in our district. I have also worked as a madricha for the United Jewish School in Grand Rapids on Sundays. I have served as GRTY president and I am so excited to help restart GRTY and connect Grand Rapids Jewish teens to the greater Michigan Jewish “teen scene.” I was very involved with my temple middle school youth program in Seattle, where I lived for many years before my family relocated to Western Michigan in 2014. Seeing how wonderful and active NFTY was in the Pacific Northwest inspired me to get involved with NFTY Michigan and I am really looking forward to growing our membership while bonding with Jewish teens across the state!
