I am a rising junior at Bloomfield Hills High School, and I am a forensics team captain, a National Honors Society small group leader, and a Copy Editor for my school's newspaper. I love to do theatre, read, and travel, and I spend my summers at URJ GUCI. I absolutely love NFTY because it is an incredibly welcoming organization that allows everyone involved to learn, grow, and make friendships that will last a lifetime! I aspire to work to build a region that fosters community and irreplaceable bonds.

Shalom NFTYites! My name is Miranda Freedman and I’m super excited to be one of your NFTY Michigan! I’m a rising senior at Grosse Pointe South High school and I’m a member of Congregation Shir Tikvah in Troy. I’m president of my school's Russian Club and on the board of my women’s empowerment group. Besides that and NFTY, during my free time, I am a fencer on the U.S. national team, I play the ukulele and I really love bucket hats! My favorite thing about NFTY is how inclusive it is and that it gives me an outlet to not only explore my Judaism but makes tons of friends and have a blast doing that. My dream for this year is to create an environment where everyone feels safe and connected to their Judaism. I look forward to working and getting to know all of you! can’t wait for this year NFTY Michigan! L’hitraot! 🦘
Hey NFTY! My name is Naomi Parr, and I'm so excited to be a NFTY-MI representative. I'm a rising junior at Bloomfield Hills High School. There, I'm on the board for my school's theater department and competitive public speaking team, and am also in the environmental, historical, and political debate clubs. I'm a member of Temple Shir Shalom in West Bloomfield. Beyond that, I'm also involved and the Sunrise Movement and am on board for the Jewish Youth Climate Movement. I love baking, music, and environmental activism. NFTY is special to me because it offers an incredible network of like-minded Jewish teens where anyone can belong. I can't wait to help rebuild NFTY MI and the wonderful community I know it will be!
NFTY Michigan is governed by a committee of teen leaders who are appointed to serve a one-year term. Regional committee members play a critical role in all aspects of running the region including event planning and marketing. The regional committee is mentored by the NFTY Midwest Area Manager who oversees all programs and administration.
